I’m a California Bay Area transplant, but if you ask my wife, she’ll tell you I’ve been here long enough to call myself an NC native.
I went to film school at the turn of the digital age. We still shot on film and I was the first undergrad (and second person) to use the departments new digital Final Cut video editing bays. After graduating, everything has been digital acquisition. I’ve been editing videos with Adobe Premiere Pro since version 6 (2001)
Now we have cameras that fit in our pockets, cameras that fly, and artificial intelligence creating videos with no cameras at all. We’re living in the sci-fi future of video. It’s wild, and I love every minute of it.
Since graduating, I worked as an AV specialist at the UNC med school, as the main shooter at a production company in Burlington doing location shoots and live events, and as the Video Creative Director at the largest photography studio in North Carolina.
In 2017 I went freelance, and have worked for a myriad of companies, and on a few films and TV shows, and haven’t looked back. Now I work for you, if you hire me 🙂
